We’ve got a little treat for ABN AMRO clients who want to start investing. If you open a BUX account before 31 March 2025, deposit, and invest with BUX Investment Plan €150 four months in a row and meet the conditions of the promotion, we’ll gift you a €75 bonus. How does the promotion work?
Open a BUX account and transfer the money from your ABN AMRO bank account. Then set up an Investment Plan with a periodic investment of €150 or more for at least 4 months in a row. You can choose a ready-made Investment Plan or draw up your own, investing in shares and ETFs.
Leave the total amount of your periodic investments (minimum of €600 if you invest 4 x€150) in your investment account, and you’ll get a bonus of €75 in your ABN AMRO bank account in the fifth month.
You don’t need to register for the promotion. If you satisfy the promotion terms and conditions, the €75 bonus will be automatically paid into your ABN AMRO bank account.
This promotion is valid from 8 January 2025 to 31 March 2025 inclusive. To participate, open your new investment account no later than 31 March 2025. The latest date you can make your first periodic investment is 1 April 2025.
Who can take part in this promotion?
The promotion is intended for clients who don’t yet invest with ABN AMRO or BUX. Open your first BUX account during the promotion period. Please note: the €75 bonus is the maximum amount per person.
How do I earn the bonus with BUX?
To take part in the promotion, first open a BUX account. You can only use one account for the promotion. Here’s how it works:
- Open a BUX account and transfer money into it from your ABN AMRO account.
- Set up an Investment Plan to invest at least €150 a month automatically for 4 months in a row. You can choose a ready-made plan or draw up your own. You’ll find more information about Investment Plans here.
- The latest date you can make your first periodic investment is 1 April 2025. Make sure that there’s enough money in your account on the day that the periodic investment is due, so that we can debit your investment.
- To qualify, you mustn’t withdraw any of your investment during the first 4 months.
- The €75 bonus will be paid into your linked bank account in the fifth month.
When will the bonus be paid?
You must leave the total amount of your monthly periodic investments (minimum of €600 for an investment of 4 x €150) in your investment account for 4 months. You must invest in a BUX Investment Plan in each of these 4 months.
The bonus will then be paid into your linked bank account in the fifth month. You’ll get an email or message on Internet Banking and in the ABN AMRO app once the bonus has been transferred.
Example – start on 6 February 2025
You set up a periodic investment with 6 February 2025 as the start date. The 4 monthly periodic investments will then be made on 6 February, 6 March, 6 April and 6 May. You leave the sum of the 4 monthly periodic investments, i.e. at least €600, in your chosen investment account during these four months. You’ll receive your €75 bonus in June.

Other important information:
- The maximum bonus of €75 applies per person, irrespective of the number of registrations. In other words, you can never receive more than €75 per person.
- Make sure that you make four investments of €150 in the same BUX Investment Plan. Leave your investment in your account for at least 4 months.
- Make sure that you have sufficient funds in your linked current account to complete the initial periodic deposits. If a periodic deposit within the first 4 months fails, you will no longer be eligible to receive the bonus.
- In the fifth month after your first monthly periodic investment, the €75 bonus will be paid into the current account linked to your investment account.
- You don’t have to leave your investment in the account after the fifth month.
- You can also participate in the promotion with a joint account.
- Private Banking customers of ABN AMRO MeesPierson are excluded from this promotion.
